Teyara Press was born from a simple yet profound realization: even with all the excellent publishing tools and platforms available today—Reedsy, Draft2Digital, and many others—there’s still no single solution that holistically supports independent authors from start to finish. Like many authors, we faced the overwhelming task of managing publishing logistics after completing our first book. The process was fragmented, complex, and time-consuming. Inspired by Tim Ferriss’s philosophy of “scratching your own itch,” we set out to create something better—a system that simplifies publishing and empowers writers to focus on what they love most: writing.
A Conceptual Proposal, Not a Finished Business
At its core, Teyara Press is a concept—a proposal to see if there’s a real demand for a fully streamlined, step-by-step publishing solution. We aren’t a finished business yet, and we don’t want to mislead anyone. Right now, we’re in the market research phase, exploring whether authors like you would value a service that consolidates everything from platform setup to royalties management into one cohesive process. This journey could take two paths. One option is to keep Teyara Press small, serving only a select few authors by invitation only. This would allow us to deliver high-touch, personalized services without scaling. The other option, if there’s significant interest, is to launch a Kickstarter campaign to systemize and scale Teyara Press into an accessible platform for all independent authors.
